Affordable Wall Art That Looks High-End: A Few Favorite Picks

Sourcing artwork is, hands-down, one of the hardest (but also my favorite!) parts of the design process. It’s the final layer that ties everything together and gives a space soul. The right artwork has the potential to tie a space together, show the client’s personality and really elevate a room. But here’s the thing: finding the right art is never as simple as just picking something pretty. It has to feel personal. It has to work with the palette and the vibe of the room. And maybe most importantly it has to be the right sale. I can’t tell you how often I walk into a home and see a tiny little piece of art floating on a big, empty wall. It’s such a common mistake, and I get it! Big art can feel intimidating…and expensive.

Unfortunately even the most beautiful furniture and styling can fall flat if the artwork is undersized. It just doesn’t anchor the room like it should. I worked with a client recently who had this stunning moody-toned living room—deep blues, natural wood, textured linen drapery. We had everything in place but kept going back and forth on what to hang above the sofa. She had a smaller piece she loved, but once we held it up, it was clear it just wasn’t enough. We ended up finding a pair of large-scale prints that balanced the space perfectly—and she told me later that they’re what her guests always compliment first.

This is going to sound sponsored, but I promise it’s not: this is why I love The Poster Club. Their curation is beautiful and current without feeling trendy, and the best part? Their pieces come in large sizes. I was originally going to do a post with my favorite affordable art prints from all over the internet, but as I was browsing The Poster Club website I just came up with too many favorites! I love them so much because I can source a large print and still keep the overall project budget in check. That’s pretty rare when it comes to art, especially prints that look polished. And when you’re trying to fill a big wall without spending thousands on custom framing or originals, that’s a game-changer. Which means I have more money to spend on furniture, accessories and finishing touches elsewhere!

I also appreciate how cohesive their collections feel. Whether I’m looking for abstract, photography, or line drawings, I can usually find a few options that work together without feeling too matchy. I’ll often create a little gallery wall with a mix of their prints in different sizes, or pair one of their statement pieces with a vintage frame or a client’s personal photo. It’s a great way to blend high-impact design with meaningful details—and keep things feeling layered and intentional. Love, love love!

So if you’re stuck on the art part of your home, especially if you’re worried about size or budget, The Poster Club is a go-to sources. Don’t be afraid to size up! Your walls (and your room) will thank you for it.
